Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala, the surgeon who played a crucial role in Pant's recovery following his serious car accident in December 2022, shared his thoughts on the viral celebration with The Telegraph. He noted, "Rishabh trained as a gymnast. Although he looks large, he is quite agile, and he does have a lot of flexibility. And, that’s why he’s been doing those somersaults of late. It’s a well-practiced and perfected move — unnecessary though!"

Pant's return to cricket is truly remarkable. The near-fatal accident on December 30, 2022, involved his car colliding with a divider while driving from Delhi to Roorkee, resulting in extensive injuries that sidelined him for a significant period.

Against England, Pant showcased his prowess in Test cricket, scoring a blazing 134 in the first innings and following it up with a solid 118 in the second. However, despite his efforts, India was unable to defend a target of 371 and lost by five wickets.
