While many Bollywood stars shield their children from the media, Riteish Deshmukh and his wife, Genelia Deshmukh, have a different approach. They allow their sons, Riaan and Rahyl, to interact with the paparazzi. The boys are often photographed greeting the media during public outings.
Riteish Deshmukh explains his reasoning for allowing his children to be photographed by paparazzi.
In a recent interview, Riteish Deshmukh discussed his views on paparazzi culture and how he teaches his children to handle the attention. He mentioned that his sons are active in sports and are frequently photographed by the paparazzi at their games.
He believes it's important for his children to learn how to navigate the media attention. "You have to talk to the kids and ensure they don’t feel entitled," he stated.
Deshmukh emphasizes that interacting with the media can be a valuable lesson in humility for his children. He instructs them to be respectful and appreciative when photographed. "The only thing I tell my sons is, ‘Getting clicked is an honour. When the paps ask for pictures, you thank them for clicking and move on.’"
He also acknowledged that every family has the right to make their own choices regarding their children's exposure to the media. "Just because one person does something doesn’t mean others have to do the same. I think parents know what’s best for their children. If people feel they don’t want their kids to be in the media, it should be respected," he said.
Riteish Deshmukh was recently seen in Housefull 5, directed by Tarun Mansukhani, alongside a star-studded cast including Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, and others.
