At the young age of 17, Mehar Singh has captured global attention by achieving a new Guinness World Record. He attained the fastest 100-meter ascent by a quadcopter. Singh's custom-built drone accomplished this feat in an astounding 0.91 seconds. This demonstrates his exceptional technical skills, setting a new standard in drone technology.

Singh's journey to this milestone was marked by unwavering dedication. His interest in drones started in the 8th grade, and has intensified over the years. Driven by a desire to push technological limits, he embarked on a months-long project. The goal was to create a drone with unparalleled vertical acceleration.
"I've always been captivated by the idea of expanding the capabilities of drones," Singh stated. "Breaking a world record was not solely about the outcome; it was about the entire process. I aimed to demonstrate that current technology could achieve extraordinary feats, even if the journey presented significant challenges."
The project demanded that Singh design, test, and refine numerous drone prototypes. "There were times when I questioned whether my goal was attainable," Singh reflected. "I experimented with countless designs, many of which failed during testing. Some drones sustained such severe damage that I had to return to the drawing board and begin anew. Each setback, however, led to new ideas and innovations."
Unfazed by the obstacles, Singh focused his efforts on developing a drone that was not only rapid but also aerodynamically efficient. "I invested numerous hours using CAD software, carefully designing and adjusting each component. My aim was to make the drone as streamlined as possible, resulting in its rocket-like shape. This design was about optimizing speed by minimizing drag."

Singh’s commitment to his craft ultimately yielded impressive results. "Every unsuccessful attempt provided valuable learning experiences," he said. "I was compelled to think creatively and pay attention to every aspect, from the materials used to the weight distribution of the drone. The process was demanding, but watching my ideas take flight was incredibly satisfying.”
