Shanaya Kapoor, the daughter of Sanjay and Maheep Kapoor, may be a part of Gen Z, but she recently confessed to harboring a deeply old-school romantic perspective. Having studied at Ecole Mondiale World School and trained extensively in dance and acting, Kapoor also served as an Assistant Director on her cousin Janhvi Kapoor’s film 'Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl' before venturing into acting.
In a recent interview, Shanaya Kapoor revealed her traditional values regarding love and relationships.
When questioned about her romantic inclinations, Kapoor told Bollywood Bubbles that she identifies as an old-school romantic. While acknowledging that her generation often appears detached and quick to move on, she confessed that she seeks something more profound.
She emphasized that despite observing a casual approach to relationships among her peers, she personally desires a long-term commitment. She values a deep connection where her partner feels like home, offering comfort and stability. Finding that feeling of home is a priority for her.
Kapoor also touched upon the unique challenges faced by artists when it comes to balancing their professional and personal lives. She highlighted that their work transcends the typical nine-to-five routine, evolving into a passionate lifestyle. The nature of constantly portraying different characters can blur the lines between work and personal life. Therefore, finding a partner who can help restore balance becomes essential. She reiterated her belief in embracing an old-school approach to love and relationships.
On the professional front, Shanaya Kapoor is gearing up for her Bollywood debut alongside Vikrant Massey in the romantic drama 'Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan'. Directed by Santosh Singh, the film is slated for release on July 11. Additionally, she will star in 'Tu Yaa Main', a survival thriller directed by Bejoy Nambiar and co-starring Adarsh Gourav, produced by Aanand L Rai, scheduled for release on Valentine’s Day 2026.
