"We are delighted to confirm Sri Lanka's visit to Zimbabwe for what we expect to be a thrilling and competitive series," stated Givemore Makoni, Managing Director of Zimbabwe Cricket.

The three T20Is hold significant importance for Zimbabwe, preceding the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Regional Final. This crucial tournament, hosted by Zimbabwe starting September 19, presents their opportunity to qualify for the upcoming ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2027.

"Matches between our two nations have always produced entertaining cricket, and this tour comes at a crucial time for our team as we prepare for the upcoming T20 World Cup qualifying campaign," Makoni added.

This series forms part of a busy three-month schedule for Zimbabwe, including hosting South Africa and New Zealand for two-match Test series, alongside a T20I tri-series featuring all three nations in between.
