Bollywood actress Esha Gupta has finally addressed the swirling rumors regarding her past connection with Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya. In a recent interview, she clarified the nature of their relationship, revealing that while they did communicate for a brief period, it never evolved into a serious romantic involvement.
Gupta explained that compatibility issues and unfavorable timing played a role in their brief association ending before it could progress further. She emphasized that their interaction remained at the "maybe it will happen, maybe it won't" stage.
"Yeah, for some time we were talking. I don't think we were dating, but yeah, we were talking for a couple of months," Gupta stated, shedding light on the timeline of their acquaintance.
The actress elaborated on the limited extent of their meetings, stating, "We met once or twice, that's it. So yeah, as I said, it was a couple of months and then it ended."
Gupta acknowledged the potential for a relationship but admitted that "things fizzled out quickly" due to circumstances.
She further emphasized that the end of their communication was amicable and free from any complications. "There was no drama or bitterness," she stated. "It just wasn't meant to be."
Gupta also addressed Pandya's controversial appearance on Koffee With Karan in 2019, confirming that their communication had already ceased before the incident. "That part didn't affect me, because we had already stopped talking by then," she explained.
The actress revealed her decision to refrain from adding to the criticism during the controversy, stating, "They were already going through enough. What good would it do if I jumped in with more criticism?"
Currently, Hardik Pandya is not participating in the Indian cricket team's five-match Test tour of England. His next anticipated appearance for the Indian team is against Bangladesh in August.
